Graduate Trainee Internship Program

About the role

Absa is launching an 18‑month Graduate Trainee Internship Programme designed to develop future banking talent. Participants will rotate across multiple business areas, gaining hands‑on experience while building technical and leadership capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Complete several 3‑6 month rotations in core banking functions.
• Engage with product knowledge sessions to understand Absa’s product suite.
• Participate in best‑in‑class learning and development platforms.
• Collaborate with mentors and coaches to support personal and professional growth.
• Contribute to project work and deliverables within each rotation.

Required profile

• Undergraduate or postgraduate degree from a reputable university, achieved with distinction.
• Maximum age of 26 years at the time of application.
• Ability to provide an updated CV, secondary school leaver certificate (or equivalent), and degree certificate.
