About the role

Athi Transporters Limited, a leading transportation company operating across Sub‑Saharan Africa, is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to strengthen its people strategy. You will partner with senior leadership to drive HR initiatives that support safe, reliable logistics services.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, implement and evaluate HR policies, programs and practices.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding and talent acquisition for all functions.
• Manage employee relations, performance management and career development.
• Ensure compliance with Zambian labour laws and internal regulations.
• Lead strategic HR projects that align with business growth objectives.
• Provide guidance on compensation, benefits and workforce planning.

Required profile

• Minimum five (5) years of HR generalist and strategy formulation experience at senior or middle management level.
• Grade Twelve School Certificate.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Social Sciences or a related field; a post‑graduate qualification is an advantage.
• Valid Practicing Certificate issued by the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management.
