National AMR Technical Coordinator – Zambia

About the role
Palladium is seeking a National Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Technical Coordinator to lead AMR activities in Zambia during the final year of the Tackling Deadly Diseases in Africa Programme Phase 2 (TDDAP2). This full‑time, 10‑month fixed‑term position will be based in Lusaka and will support the implementation of AMR governance, surveillance, and laboratory strengthening under a One Health approach.
Key responsibilities
- Work closely with the Zambia country team, consortium partners and national government to coordinate AMR technical activities.
- Ensure activities are technically sound, aligned with national action plans and sustainable beyond the programme.
- Strengthen AMR governance and ownership at the national level.
- Improve surveillance and reporting systems for antimicrobial resistance.
- Support laboratory capacity building and integration of One Health, climate‑informed approaches.
Required profile
- Must have the legal right to live and work in Zambia.
- Relevant experience in antimicrobial resistance, public health or related fields.
- Proven ability to collaborate with government agencies, NGOs and multi‑sectoral partners.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
