Workshop Manager – Component Rebuild Centre

About the role

The Workshop Manager leads BIA Group’s Component Rebuild Centre (CRC) in Zambia, ensuring safe, compliant, high‑quality rebuild operations that meet OEM standards and internal procedures. Reporting to the Aftermarket Manager, you will oversee production planning, SAP execution, inventory control, cost discipline and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver CRC revenue targets through disciplined cost management and effective execution.
• Maintain and expand the CRC offering catalogue and drive new service development.
• Plan short‑, medium‑ and long‑term workload, aligning demand, resources, parts and subcontracted activities.
• Govern production scheduling with the Workshop Production Manager, ensuring timeliness and backlog reduction.
• Ensure accurate SAP transactions, WIP control and timely invoicing to support cash flow.
• Monitor performance metrics (productivity, timeliness, backlog) and report regularly.
• Manage parts ordering, back‑order escalation and subcontractor performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading a workshop or component rebuild operation.
• Strong ability to plan production, control inventory and manage costs.
• Leadership skills to develop teams and ensure safety and compliance.
• Results‑oriented mindset with focus on continuous improvement.
