Chinese Translation Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Chinese Translation Specialist to facilitate real‑time bilingual communication between Chinese management and Zambian staff in a manufacturing environment. The role ensures accurate translation of spoken and written information, supporting smooth daily production and administrative processes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide real‑time Chinese‑English translation for meetings, on‑site production instructions, and documents.
• Bridge communication gaps between Chinese management, local employees, and external partners.
• Assist with routine factory administration, personnel coordination, and external communications.
• Adapt translation work to the factory’s production schedule and follow work arrangements.
• Handle ad‑hoc tasks assigned by supervisors and support basic daily affairs.

Required profile

• Native language English or Chinese with fluent oral Chinese and strong English reading/writing skills.
• Solid bilingual translation ability with no obvious communication barriers.
• Familiarity with basic factory production and administrative terminology.
• Experience in overseas factory translation or bilingual office work preferred; fresh candidates with excellent language skills also considered.
• Responsible, patient, detail‑oriented, and able to work under management direction.
• Good teamwork and communication skills, adaptable to a factory environment.
• Knowledge of Zambian local culture and languages, valid legal work documents, and a clean employment record.
• Long‑term stability and commitment preferred.
