Director: Transport Operations - Bulk & Corridor

About the role

The Director of Transport Operations – Bulk & Corridor will lead the tactical strategy and execution for the bulk and corridor business in Zambia, driving efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction while ensuring compliance and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Formulate tactical operations strategy and delivery plan for Bulk & Corridor business in Zambia.
• Analyse and streamline processes to improve efficiency and reduce inefficiencies.
• Establish and monitor quality standards and KPIs across operational activities.
• Drive customer satisfaction through reliable service and feedback analysis.
• Lead development and implementation of systems such as TMS, WMS and TOS, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Oversee operational planning, capacity management and resource allocation.
• Manage cargo tracking and tracing, implementing real‑time visibility tools.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, security and environmental regulations.

• Proven senior leadership experience in transport or logistics operations.
• Strong commercial acumen with focus on profitability and growth.
• Ability to influence cross‑functional teams and senior stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical and decision‑making skills.
