About the role
The Mining Engineer – Load and Haul Scheduling is responsible for delivering and controlling short‑term mine plans aligned with medium‑term objectives, ensuring optimal equipment use and supporting the mining production team.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain short‑term mine production schedules that align with medium‑term plans.
- Serve as the primary contact for the production team on load and haul planning.
- Issue mining control data for surveyors and ensure equipment is applied optimally.
- Plan, organise, and follow up on work, escalating issues as needed.
- Maintain documentation, procedures, and up‑skill assistant engineers.
Required profile
- 5+ years experience in large hard‑rock open‑pit mining environments.
- Experience with mine scheduling and multicultural work settings.
- B.Eng. in Mining Engineering; blasting licence preferred.
- Current driving licence and relevant registrations (EIZ, ERB).
Required skills
- Advanced knowledge of mining processes and mine scheduling software.
- Proficiency in the MS Office suite.
