Finance Manager - Zambia

About the role

The Finance Manager will lead the full finance function for the Zambia programme, ensuring robust financial controls, donor compliance and effective resource allocation. Reporting to the Project Lead, the role provides technical and financial support to the country team and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and maintain treasury processes and internal controls to safeguard organisational resources.
• Manage donor financial compliance, reporting, audits and ensure adherence to organisational policies.
• Oversee monthly closing, cash‑flow monitoring, budgeting and financial analysis for the Zambia office.
• Provide financial guidance to the Project Lead, country team and partners, including procurement, fixed‑asset management and contract administration.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business or a related field.
• At least five years of post‑study financial experience, with a minimum of two years in a managerial role.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and interpersonal skills, able to work under pressure.
• Fluent in English.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP accounting systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
