Marketing Commercial Finance Business Partner – Lusaka

About the role

British American Tobacco Zambia is seeking a Marketing Commercial Finance Business Partner to lead commercial finance activities across Zambia and Malawi. You will work closely with end‑market leadership to drive sustainable growth, optimise pricing and investment decisions, and ensure robust financial planning and governance.

Key responsibilities

• Execute commercial planning cycles (SOP, Budget, Latest Estimates) aligned to strategic priorities.
• Support pricing strategy, revenue growth management and margin optimisation across markets.
• Provide decision support through financial analysis, insights and business‑case evaluation.
• Ensure commercial finance governance and compliance with BAT policies and control frameworks.
• Manage and optimise trade spend, marketing OPEX/CAPEX and ROI performance.
• Partner with End Markets and cross‑functional teams (Marketing, Legal, Finance) to enhance commercial performance.
• Standardise and improve tools, processes and reporting across WESA.
• Support revenue assurance and credit risk management across markets.
• Drive efficiency, automation and data‑driven decision‑making in commercial finance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or related discipline.
• Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA or CA).
• Minimum 5 years experience in commercial finance, FP&A or business partnering.
• Strong understanding of pricing, route‑to‑market and consumer dynamics.
• Experience in FMCG or a similarly fast‑paced environment.
• Advanced financial modelling and analytical capabilities.
• Knowledge of financial controls, governance and IFRS standards.
• Proficiency in SAP, Excel and data‑visualisation tools (Power BI).
• Project management and business‑case development experience.
