Mechanical Painter (Level 1)

About the role

The Mechanical Painter (Level 1) will support maintenance and installation activities, ensuring work is carried out safely and to the required standards. This position operates within First Quantum’s culture of independent thinking and bold problem‑solving.

Key responsibilities

• Follow all health, safety, environment, quality, finance and HR policies and legal regulations.
• Assist the artisan with daily tasks and perform housekeeping before, during, and after work.
• Maintain tools in safe condition and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Ensure all work follows signed standard operating procedures.
• Execute instructions from the supervisor and be ready for standby, overtime, and shift work as required.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 (Full Grade Twelve School Certificate).
• At least five years of relevant work experience.
• Behavioural traits such as boldness, teamwork, initiative, safety awareness, and quality focus.
