MRP Analyst

About the role

The MRP Analyst is responsible for ensuring the efficient planning and scheduling of materials required for production. You will analyze demand, manage inventory levels, and coordinate with multiple departments to keep the production process running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain material requirements planning (MRP) processes to guarantee timely material availability.
• Analyze sales forecasts and historical data to predict future material needs and adjust plans.
• Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess stock and optimize turnover.
• Generate and manage purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers for on‑time delivery.
• Collaborate with production planning and operations teams to align material availability with schedules.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.
• Produce regular reports on material availability, inventory, and supplier performance for management.
• Work closely with suppliers to resolve issues, manage lead times, and improve material quality.
• Identify and implement enhancements to MRP processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, logistics, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in material planning, inventory management, or supply chain analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Strong organizational and time‑management capabilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MRP software such as SAP.
• Proficiency with MRP software such as Oracle.
