Procurement Coordinator – Renewable (Zambia)

About the role

The Procurement Coordinator will lead the end‑to‑end sourcing process for One Acre Fund’s renewable program in Zambia. You will ensure that goods and services are obtained at best value while supporting the organization’s mission to empower smallholder farmers.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market research and continuously expand the supplier database to secure competitive pricing.
• Manage the full purchase cycle, including RFQs, supplier evaluation, selection, negotiation, and order placement.
• Coordinate with Finance to guarantee timely payments and maintain accurate procurement records.
• Oversee timely delivery of goods, provide regular updates to internal stakeholders, and ensure documentation is complete.
• Maintain and audit the Zambia Vendor Catalog, updating contacts and removing inactive entries.
• Support process improvements that increase purchasing efficiency and accuracy.

Required profile

• Experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably in an agricultural or development context.
• Strong analytical abilities to assess market trends and quantify cost savings.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a focus on building direct supplier relationships.
• Detail‑oriented with a commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentation.
