Project Planning & Policy Advisor – Solar Energy Sector

About the role

We are looking for a highly motivated Project Planning & Policy Advisor to drive the development and implementation of renewable energy initiatives, with a focus on solar projects. The successful candidate will combine strong analytical abilities with strategic planning and policy expertise to support sustainable energy solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and oversee project plans for renewable energy initiatives.
• Conduct policy research and provide strategic recommendations on renewable energy development.
• Monitor regulatory frameworks, energy policies, and industry trends.
• Coordinate project implementation timelines, budgets, and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Prepare reports, proposals, policy briefs, and project documentation.
• Support feasibility studies, investment planning, and project evaluations.
• Liaise with government institutions, development partners, investors, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with national energy policies, environmental standards, and project requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Energy Studies, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Public Policy, Project Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in solar energy, project planning, or policy advisory roles.
• Strong understanding of renewable energy policies, regulations, and market trends.
• Experience in project coordination, stakeholder management, and strategic planning.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and report‑writing skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
• Master’s degree or professional certification in project management or energy policy is an added advantage.
