Senior Parts & Service Costing Officer

About the role

Our client, Platus Zambia Limited, a leading distributor of BMW, Mazda and Saurer vehicles, is looking for a Senior Parts & Service Costing Officer to join the After‑Sales / Parts Department. The role ensures accurate costing, pricing and margin control of spare parts in line with OEM and dealership policies.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quotations for vehicle job cards, including parts and labour costing, adhering to OEM pricing policies.
• Review and validate job card estimates before customer approval to protect margins and ensure compliance.
• Maintain and update spare‑parts costing and pricing in the DMS/ERP system, applying all cost revisions and price updates.
• Monitor gross margins on parts and labour, analyse deviations and report discrepancies with corrective recommendations.
• Reconcile parts costing data with finance records and support month‑end and quarterly financial reporting.
• Implement OEM price circulars, discount schemes, warranty policies and ensure timely updates.
• Assist in warranty claim costing, documentation and submission, tracking rejected or pending claims.
• Provide accurate costing, pricing and margin data for internal and OEM audits.
• Coordinate closely with Service Advisors, Workshop Teams, Parts Stores, Procurement and Finance to ensure seamless processes.
• Ensure compliance with dealership SOPs, internal controls and OEM operational standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in after‑sales parts costing, pricing and margin analysis within an automotive dealership or similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of OEM and dealership pricing policies and warranty procedures.
• Ability to work with DMS/ERP systems and maintain accurate cost and price data.
• Excellent analytical skills to monitor margins, identify deviations and propose corrective actions.
• Effective coordination with service, workshop, parts, procurement and finance teams.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain proper documentation and audit trails.
