Senior Parts & Service Costing Officer

About the role

The After‑Sales Parts Department of a leading automotive distributor is looking for a Senior Parts & Service Costing Officer. The role ensures accurate costing, pricing and margin control of spare parts in line with OEM and dealership policies, supporting both day‑to‑day operations and financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quotations for vehicle job cards, covering spare parts and labour costs, adhering to OEM pricing rules.
• Validate job‑card estimates before customer approval to protect margins and ensure compliance.
• Maintain and update parts costing and pricing data in the DMS/ERP system, applying all price revisions and circulars.
• Monitor gross margins on parts and labour, analyse deviations and recommend corrective actions.
• Reconcile costing data with finance records and support month‑end/quarterly reporting.
• Assist with warranty claim costing, documentation and resubmission as required.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Automotive Engineering, Business Administration or related field; accounting certification is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in parts or store operations, preferably within a dealership environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to coordinate with service advisors, workshop teams, procurement and finance.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of automobile parts.
• Proficiency in DMS/ERP operation and inventory control.
• Ability to perform pricing and costing analysis.
