Supply Chain Specialist – Southern Africa

About the role

The Supply Chain Specialist will support Bayer's Country Supply Chain Management Mission Team in delivering demand and supply plans for crop protection, glyphosate and row‑crop solutions across Southern Africa. The role ensures product availability, optimal inventory levels and timely deliveries to meet farmer needs.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the supply plan based on sales forecasts in coordination with the Country Group Supply Chain Operations Planner.
• Provide weekly product availability and arrival timeline reports to stakeholders.
• Manage stock replenishment, inter‑company purchases, and finished‑goods stock transfer orders.
• Coordinate movement of finished goods from plant to distribution centres and handle spot orders in constrained supply situations.
• Collaborate with TRIA/Order Management and EMEA production sites to process sales orders.
• Report on supply‑chain KPIs and drive performance improvements.
• Oversee returns, buy‑backs, and slow‑mover mitigation initiatives.
• Prepare inputs for Sales & Operational Execution (S&OE) meetings and ensure compliance with SOPs.
• Handle contract and service management for in‑country manufacturing activities, including procurement of labels and packaging materials.

Required profile

• Proven experience in supply chain planning and inventory management.
• Strong analytical abilities to monitor KPI performance.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with production, logistics and sales teams.
• Attention to detail for stock count processes and compliance reporting.
