Technical Sales Representative – Agri Seeds

About the role

We are looking for a Technical Sales Representative to promote and sell Syngenta Vegetable Seeds to existing and prospective customers in Lusaka and the Southern Province. You will act as the primary link between the company, agro‑distributors and farmers, driving demand through demonstrations, field days and coordinated campaigns.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of existing customers and acquire new accounts such as Young Plant Raisers.
• Directly handle key agro‑distributors, process orders, coordinate deliveries and ensure timely payments.
• Generate demand by conducting demo trials, participating in field days and executing marketing campaigns with the Marketing Operations Lead.
• Provide monthly demand forecasts to the Operations team and share trial results to support new product introductions.
• Support promoters and merchandisers, deliver sales training to dealers, stockists and agents.
• Maintain customer service standards using Salesforce.com and submit monthly sales reports to the Africa South Vegs Operations manager.

Required profile

• BSc degree in an agricultural‑related field.
• Minimum 3 years of sales experience, preferably in the agro‑industry.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Ability to work in a matrix organization and build strong relationships with farmers and territory teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Salesforce.com for sales tracking and reporting.
