Trauma & Orthopedic Surgeon – Emergency Response Roster

About the role

International Medical Corps is seeking qualified Trauma and Orthopedic Surgeons to join its Emergency Response Team (ERT) roster. As a roster member you will be on standby to provide outpatient clinical care to populations affected by disasters and humanitarian crises.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver outpatient trauma and orthopedic surgical care to disaster‑affected patients.
• Participate in rapid deployment to emergency sites, often within 48 hours of activation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary humanitarian health teams to ensure patient‑centered, ethical care.
• Maintain up‑to‑date professional profile, complete pre‑deployment paperwork, orientation and training.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or equivalent qualification in Trauma and Orthopedic Surgery.
• Experience providing surgical care in emergency or low‑resource settings.
• Willingness and ability to deploy on short notice to various geographic locations.
• Commitment to humanitarian principles and patient safety.
