Automotive Workshop Manager

About the role

Pilatus Engineering is looking for an experienced Automotive Workshop Manager to lead its workshop operations. The role combines hands‑on technical work with leadership of technicians to ensure high‑quality vehicle repairs and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise and control daily workshop workflow and allocate jobs to technicians.
• Monitor repair progress, ensure timely completion and improve workshop efficiency.
• Perform advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting on complex mechanical and electrical issues.
• Support technicians, approve final inspections and ensure adherence to manufacturer repair standards.
• Lead, motivate and supervise workshop staff, conduct performance evaluations and provide training.
• Enforce safety standards, maintain workshop cleanliness and manage inventory of tools and parts.
• Handle technical customer complaints, explain repairs and prepare performance reports.

Required profile

• Diploma or certification in Automotive Engineering (preferred).
• 5–10 years of automotive workshop experience.
• Proven experience as Workshop Manager, Foreman or Senior Technician.
• Strong leadership, decision‑making and ability to work under pressure.
