Customer Service Advisor

About the role

The Customer Service Advisor will act as the front‑line representative of the bank, processing cash and related transactions while delivering friendly, efficient service to walk‑in customers. This role ensures accurate handling of cash, cheques and other financial instruments, and supports customers with their banking enquiries.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense and receive cash, cheques, drafts and other instruments over the counter.
• Verify transaction details, including dates, IDs, amounts and fund availability, in line with bank procedures.
• Capture all transactions in the bank’s system and obtain required authorisations.
• Count cash accurately and adhere to the bank’s zero‑tolerance policy for teller errors.
• Assist customers in completing deposit and withdrawal documentation.
• Provide advice on cash processes, resolve enquiries at first contact, and explain security and identification requirements.
• Collect customer feedback and communicate its value for service improvement.
• Identify potential sales leads by reviewing customer income levels.
