Customer Service & Sales Executive – Zambia

About the role

Pacific International Lines (PIL) is seeking a motivated Customer Service & Sales Executive to join its Zambia team. You will act as a key liaison between customers, agencies, and internal teams to ensure smooth commercial operations and drive sales growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage pricing inquiries via calls and emails.
• Ensure RFAs/PMTs are filed correctly according to agreed terms.
• Review customer requests for free time and other commercial matters.
• Investigate and verify FCA documentation.
• Monitor and allocate space on GCS, GC2, CSG, and intra‑Gulf feeder vessels.
• Assess agents’ performance on space usage and coordinate service changes.
• Track REEFER container utilization and prepare weekly space utilization reports.
• Generate CFMT reports, create PRD & Ocean/Feeder links, and assign freight differences for COD requests.
• Assist with quotations for tender accounts and liaise with the DG Desk on non‑DG commodities.
• Support agents with LMS‑related issues and develop sales strategies with the Branch Manager.
• Negotiate with customers, conduct market research, and identify new opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial shipping or trade operations.
• Strong analytical and communication abilities.
• Strategic thinking and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with logistics systems.
