Field Marketing Specialist

About the role

Bayer is seeking a Field Marketing Specialist to design and execute master and tactical marketing plans for seed and paid media in Zambia. The role focuses on farmer‑centric campaigns that support go‑to‑market strategies and drive business targets.

Key responsibilities

• Implement customer‑focused marketing campaigns linked to GTM strategies for farmer and channel audiences.
• Develop core product messaging, USP and value proposition aligned with market development and GTM managers.
• Identify innovative, disruptive concepts to increase brand awareness, product usage and market share.
• Track campaign effectiveness, analyse results and act on learnings.
• Plan and support promotional and trade events, collaborating with internal teams and external agencies.
• Monitor competitor marketing activities and maintain a competitive intelligence process.
• Optimize budget spend on external resources, services, tools and media.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, marketing, brand management, business administration or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of marketing or sales experience, preferably in smallholder markets in Africa.
• Strong corporate business acumen and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to work across multiple cross‑functional teams and influence in a matrix organization.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities in English.

Required skills

• Experience in tactical and strategic marketing, including digital marketing.
• Proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
