Finance and Grants Officer
Action Against Hunger (ACF) - Pakistan · Lusaka

About the role
The Finance and Grants Officer will manage daily financial transactions and budget processes for Action Against Hunger Zambia, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficient use of resources in line with organizational and donor policies.
Key responsibilities
- Execute day‑to‑day financial transactions and manage budgets.
- Prepare and submit accurate accountancy bundles on schedule.
- Collaborate with Program Managers and staff to share budgetary and financial updates (BFUs).
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, internal controls, IFRS, and Zambian government regulations.
- Record monthly commitments, recharges, and analytical entries.
- Verify bankbooks and perform bank reconciliations before the 5th of each month.
- Set up proper budgets and accounting parameters.
- Disseminate accounting procedures and promote high standards of integrity and accountability.
Required profile
- Experience in finance or accounting within an NGO or similar environment.
- Knowledge of donor guidelines and financial management policies.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
