Insurance Coordinator – Products, Bank Assets & Claims

About the role

The Insurance Coordinator will support product management across multiple segments and oversee insurance for bank‑owned assets and interests. The role ensures efficient placement of cover, robust risk management, and timely settlement of claims through effective coordination with brokers, insurers, and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage relationships with brokers, insurers and internal teams throughout the bank’s insurance value chain.
• Conduct risk assessments to confirm that assets and interests are adequately covered.
• Establish and maintain Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with external service providers.
• Implement a performance‑management framework for brokers, insurers, assessors and other partners.
• Serve as the central escalation point for all insurance‑related processes.
• Monitor claims turnaround times, service quality and responsiveness; follow up on delays.
• Maintain claims status registers and produce accurate management information.
• Identify and report financial, operational, legal or reputational risks arising from claims trends.
• Prepare regular risk, performance and SLA compliance reports for senior management.
• Liaise with branches, asset finance, facilities, security, finance and risk teams to ensure effective claim oversight.
• Support product development from ideation to launch, ensuring compliance with product‑governance standards.
• Coordinate with insurance providers on product performance, competitiveness and feature agreements.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of insurance processes, risk assessment and claims management within a banking environment.
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholder relationships and drive performance against SLAs.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills, with experience preparing risk and performance dashboards.
• Project‑management experience, particularly in product development and launch.
