IT Technician

About the role

The IT Technician will provide comprehensive technical support for hardware, software, and network infrastructure, ensuring smooth daily operations for end‑users. The role involves routine maintenance, user account management, and troubleshooting within defined service level agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and configure hardware platforms, install operating systems and applications.
• Perform preventive, corrective and conditional maintenance on IT equipment and recommend disposal of obsolete assets.
• Conduct daily health checks on servers, workstations and network devices, and report findings.
• Manage user accounts, password resets, and permissions in Active Directory and Office 365.
• Troubleshoot end‑user issues, including hardware, printers, scanning, and business applications such as Smartcare, DMAD, Service Desk and Sage Evolution.
• Maintain up‑to‑date antivirus protection and ensure compliance with information security and data‑privacy policies.

Required profile

• Advanced Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in IT operations, supporting Windows/Linux servers and cloud environments.
• Paid‑up membership with ICTAZ and relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving abilities with a documented track record of delivering IT services.
