Procurement & Expeditor – Market Research Analyst

About the role

Our client, operating in the mining, heavy equipment and industrial supplies sector, is looking for a highly analytical Procurement, Expeditor & Market Research Analyst. You will support end‑to‑end sourcing, ensure timely delivery of critical parts, and provide market intelligence that drives cost‑effective decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Source and evaluate suppliers for mining spares, heavy equipment parts, consumables and services.
• Prepare and analyse RFQs, purchase orders, supplier quotations and cost comparisons.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery terms and payment conditions with local and international vendors.
• Track and expedite purchase orders from placement to final delivery, liaising with freight forwarders and internal logistics teams.
• Identify supply‑chain risks, coordinate customs clearance and support import/export processes.
• Conduct continuous market research on pricing trends, supplier performance and product availability.
• Produce detailed market intelligence reports to support procurement and strategic decisions.
• Act as liaison between suppliers, logistics partners and internal departments, preparing professional reports and presentations for management.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement, expediting, supply‑chain or market‑research roles.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier sourcing and cost analysis.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple activities simultaneously.
