Production Research Associate

About the role

The Production Research Associate will support Bayer's seed production research by designing, implementing and analysing field trials across Zambia. This role contributes to the generation of high‑quality data that drives continuous improvement of seed yield, quality and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and execute production research field trials at multiple sites, ensuring strict adherence to approved protocols and quality standards.
• Support regional and global Proof of Concept (POC) projects through disciplined trial design and implementation.
• Identify and drive operational improvements to increase efficiency of the testing system.
• Assist in integrating emerging technologies into the genetic and trait pipelines to enhance research effectiveness.
• Collaborate with global teams and internal stakeholders to share insights and incorporate feedback.
• Apply data‑analytics tools to monitor, analyse and interpret trial results, providing actionable recommendations.

Required profile

• Degree in agricultural sciences, plant breeding, agronomy or a related discipline.
• Experience conducting field trials in a seed production or agricultural research environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret experimental data.
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
