Sales and Business Development Executive

About the role

Divine Connections Recruitment Services is looking for a dynamic Sales and Business Development Executive to expand fuel sales across Zambia’s Copperbelt and Northern regions. The role focuses on acquiring new mining and industrial customers, managing key accounts, and driving revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic sales plans to increase fuel volume and market share.
• Identify, pursue and close new business opportunities with mining companies, industrial clients, transporters and other bulk fuel consumers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision‑makers to ensure customer satisfaction and account retention.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing and supply agreements while ensuring compliance with credit terms and collections.
• Monitor competitor activity, market trends and pricing, providing regular forecasts and pipeline updates to management.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of proven experience in fuel sales (petroleum, diesel, lubricants) and business development.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Copperbelt region and its mining and industrial landscape.
• Established professional network within the local mining and industrial sectors.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing or a related field (preferred).
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel extensively across the Copperbelt and Northern regions.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with CRM and ERP systems.
