Sales Team Leader – Renewable Energy

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing renewable energy company, is looking for dynamic Sales Team Leaders to drive sales across assigned territories. You will coordinate field agents, ensure product availability and support the execution of promotional initiatives while developing strong business relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise sales agents within the designated market segment.
• Build and maintain relationships with agents to achieve sales targets.
• Organise meetings, activations, prospecting activities, and trade‑show participation.
• Implement zoning strategies based on feasibility studies.
• Collaborate with Regional Manager and Sales Support on pilots, launches and promotions.
• Ensure product availability, manage stock, enforce FIFO and maintain zero lost units.
• Oversee stockist operations, ticket resolution and reverse logistics.
• Monitor agent performance, conduct PJP reviews, provide coaching and mentorship.
• Recruit, train and manage new agents and handle agent exits.
• Act as administrative lead for agents, tracking performance and handling disciplinary actions.
• Report any fraud or tampering incidents promptly.

Required profile

• Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.
• Proven experience supervising or leading field sales teams, agents or promoters.
• Ability to recruit, train and manage field agents effectively.
• Strong coaching, mentoring and team‑development capabilities.
• Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Experience in FMCG, renewable energy, telecommunications or direct‑sales environments is an advantage.
• Experience in territory management.
