Sales Representative – Mining Solutions

About the role

The client is a trusted supplier of industrial equipment for the mining and heavy‑industry sectors in Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo. They are looking for an ambitious B2B Sales Representative to grow market share, generate new business and nurture key accounts across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in mining, construction and industrial sectors, meeting monthly and quarterly sales targets for pumps, spare parts and filters.
• Develop and present tailored sales proposals, tenders and quotations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with procurement managers, maintenance engineers and mine managers, acting as the primary point of contact.
• Conduct site visits to understand customer requirements and technical challenges.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and pricing to provide accurate sales forecasts and reports.
• Collaborate with technical and logistics teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
• Develop deep technical knowledge of dewatering pumps, slurry pumps, spare parts and industrial filtration equipment and communicate their ROI to clients.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Mining or Electrical), Business Administration or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of successful B2B technical sales experience in mining, industrial equipment or heavy machinery, preferably in Zambia and/or the DRC.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes in the Copperbelt and Katanga mining regions.
• Fluency in English; French proficiency is a plus.
