Senior Teller

About the role

Zanaco Bank Plc is seeking an experienced Senior Teller to join its Retail Banking Department. The role supports the bank’s strategic vision by overseeing teller operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and delivering high‑quality customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily teller activities, including cash handling, account opening, and transaction processing.
• Ensure strict adherence to KYC, Anti‑Money Laundering (AML) and other banking regulations.
• Manage customer complaints, provide resolutions, and maintain service standards.
• Coordinate with internal departments such as Commercial & Agri Banking, Treasury, and Branch Operations.
• Train and mentor junior staff on product knowledge and compliance procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 with credit in Mathematics and English, plus three additional subjects.
• University degree in Business or a related field; banking or finance diploma is an advantage.
• At least three years of banking experience, including three years in a supervisory capacity.
• Comprehensive understanding of Zanaco retail products and branch processes.
• Familiarity with relevant legislation such as KYC, AML, and the Banking Code.
