Wildlife Discovery Centre Manager

About the role

The Wildlife Discovery Centre (WDC) Manager provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the GRI‑Wildlife Discovery Centre located in Lusaka National Park. The role ensures an outstanding visitor experience while advancing Game Rangers International’s mission of wildlife conservation, environmental education, and community engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of the centre, supervising a multidisciplinary team.
• Develop and implement high‑quality visitor services and educational programmes.
• Manage commercial activities, create sustainable revenue streams, and oversee fundraising initiatives.
• Build partnerships, engage stakeholders, and coordinate an annual events programme.
• Monitor financial performance and ensure the centre’s financial sustainability.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing visitor‑focused facilities or conservation centres.
• Strong leadership and team‑development capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to secure funding and develop strategic partnerships.
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for wildlife education.
