Brand Specialist – Construction Machinery Product Expert

About the role

The Brand Specialist will act as the local technical expert for construction machinery product lines, including excavators, wheel loaders and bulldozers, across the East‑African market. You will combine market research, competitor analysis and product training to ensure our machines meet regional operating conditions and customer expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct field research on local working conditions and map competitor product layouts for excavators, wheel loaders and bulldozers in East Africa.
• Perform comprehensive competitor benchmarking, including engine, transmission, axle and hydraulic system comparisons, as well as fuel consumption and efficiency tests.
• Deliver product enablement training and market promotion, mastering specifications and supporting internal sales teams and end‑customers during new‑product launches.
• Collect real‑world operation data and customer feedback to propose localized product improvements and optimizations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Machinery or a related technical field.
• Hands‑on experience with heavy‑duty construction equipment such as excavators, wheel loaders and bulldozers.
• Practical experience in market research, competitor technical benchmarking and field performance testing.
• Ability to deliver technical training, presentations and cross‑team communication.
• Fluent English and willingness to travel frequently across the East‑African region.
• Prior experience in African markets is a strong plus.
