About the role
The Condition Monitoring Specialist reports to the Senior Specialist, Condition Monitoring and is responsible for executing predictive maintenance activities across fixed plant equipment. The role provides technical support in vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasound, oil analysis and other monitoring techniques while leading the Lubrication and Conveyor & Chutes Inspection teams.
Key responsibilities
- Perform vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasound, oil sampling and visual inspections on critical and non‑critical equipment.
- Identify and diagnose equipment abnormalities, raise work requests and document findings in the CMMS (e.g., Pronto).
- Support root‑cause failure analysis for major breakdowns and maintain data quality, trend histories and performance baselines.
- Lead and supervise Lubrication Technicians, verify lubricant grades, quantities and schedules, and oversee oil sampling and contamination control.
- Lead the Conveyor & Chutes Inspection team, ensuring safe and timely inspections.
- Ensure all activities comply with site safety standards, SOPs, work instructions and engineering standards.
- Participate in safety meetings, incident investigations and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
Required profile
- Relevant technical background (e.g., mechanical, electrical or maintenance engineering).
- Proven experience in condition monitoring, predictive maintenance and equipment reliability.
- Demonstrated ability to lead small technical teams and act as an interim lead when required.
- Strong commitment to safety, compliance and continuous improvement.
