Driver – Field Office Transportation

About the role

Action Against Hunger is seeking a reliable Driver to provide transportation services for its field office in Mantapala, Luapula Province. The role ensures safe, efficient movement of staff, visitors, and cargo while maintaining vehicle condition and compliance with all regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Drive program vehicles as directed, adhering to traffic rules and road discipline.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections, checking oil, fuel, brakes, lights, windshield wipers, tire pressures, and reporting any issues.
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation such as insurance and road licences.
• Keep detailed maintenance records and schedule service reminders.
• Report accidents, incidents, or vehicle defects promptly to the supervisor.
• Conduct minor repairs, change tires, refuel, and ensure the vehicle remains clean.
• Deliver parcels, letters, and other items to offices and businesses as needed.
• Ensure vehicles are used only for authorized official business.

Required profile

• Advanced Driving Certificate.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and traffic regulations.
• Attention to detail for vehicle inspection and documentation.
