Head of Pension Services

About the role

ZSIC Life Plc, a leading provider of life assurance, pension and fund management solutions in Zambia, is seeking a dynamic Head of Pension Services. The role leads the multi‑employer pensions portfolio, providing strategic oversight for fund administration, business growth, client service and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to expand the Group Pensions business portfolio.
• Drive revenue growth, client acquisition and retention across the pension portfolio.
• Oversee board minute‑taking, secure storage and retrieval of trustee meeting records.
• Ensure full compliance with the Insurance Act, pensions laws and anti‑money‑laundering requirements.
• Implement risk controls, monitor operational efficiency and manage cost‑effectiveness.
• Introduce or improve pension products in line with market needs.
• Lead, coach and develop a high‑performing pensions team.
• Strengthen relationships with trustees, regulators and institutional clients.

Required profile

• Zambian national with a Grade 12 certificate and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Insurance, Pension Management or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Proven experience in pension fund administration, actuarial analysis and strategic leadership.
• Strong understanding of the pensions legal framework and industry regulations.
• Excellent communication, presentation and report‑writing abilities.
