Head of School – Strategic Leader

About the role

The Board of Lusaka International Community School is seeking an experienced, inspirational, and forward‑thinking Head of School to provide strategic, educational, and operational leadership. Reporting to the Board, you will collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team, staff, students, parents, and the wider community to advance the school’s mission of “Where Minds Flourish, Futures Take Root.”

Key responsibilities

• Set and execute the school’s strategic vision, aligning educational goals with operational priorities.
• Lead and inspire a diverse team of educators and professionals, fostering a collaborative culture.
• Oversee curriculum development, teaching quality, and student outcomes.
• Manage day‑to‑day operations, including health, safety, child protection, and safeguarding policies.
• Strengthen stakeholder engagement with parents, alumni, and the broader community.
• Guide the school through accreditation processes and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in an international or independent school setting.
• Demonstrated ability to drive strategic growth and operational excellence.
