Sales Manager – Africa (Zambia)

About the role

This position reports to senior commercial leadership and is responsible for driving new‑business growth across key African mining markets, with a focus on Zambia and the wider Copperbelt region. It is a hands‑on, customer‑facing role that requires frequent visits to mine sites and direct engagement with operators and procurement teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a commercial growth strategy for Zambia and surrounding mining markets.
• Build and maintain relationships with mine operators, procurement, metallurgical and process teams.
• Identify, qualify and convert new business opportunities across existing and prospective customers.
• Increase market penetration throughout the Copperbelt and broader African mining sector.
• Maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities and monitor future projects and customer requirements.
• Position the company’s products against competitors and collaborate with technical, operational and commercial colleagues globally.
• Provide market intelligence on competitors, projects, pricing and customer activity.
• Take ownership of commercial performance and revenue growth within the territory.

Required profile

• Proven commercial experience in the mining and mineral processing industry.
• Established network across Zambia, the Copperbelt or broader African mining markets.
• Track record of acquiring new customers and growing revenue.
• Experience selling directly to mine sites and operators.
• Strong understanding of purchasing decision processes in mining operations.
• Self‑driven, independent and willing to travel extensively.
