Chief Financial Officer – Lusaka, Zambia

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead our finance function in Lusaka. Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the Group CFO, you will be the primary point of contact for the Audit Committee and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee statutory and prudential reporting to the Bank of Zambia.
• Manage the preparation of management accounts, treasury, cash flow, and tax compliance.
• Implement and maintain IFRS 9 reporting for the loan portfolio.
• Lead the finance team, coordinating internal and external audits.
• Present financial performance and strategic insights to the Audit Committee.

Required profile

• Zambian nationality with residence in Zambia.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA or CA(Z) with current ZICA membership.
• Minimum eight years of progressive finance experience, including at least five years in a senior role within a bank, micro‑finance institution or other financial service provider regulated by the Bank of Zambia.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver regulatory returns, IFRS financial statements and manage external audits.
• Clean integrity record meeting Fit and Proper standards.
