Country Sales Manager – Zambia

About the role

The client, an international heavy‑equipment firm operating across Africa, seeks a Country Sales Manager to lead and grow its Zambia business. Based in Kitwe, you will be responsible for driving profitable sales, expanding market share, and managing key customer relationships in the mining and construction sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead market prospecting together with local sales teams.
• Develop and expand the client portfolio, identifying new opportunities with existing customers.
• Implement and refine customer‑care and sales‑marketing strategies for each business unit.
• Achieve market‑share, profitability and revenue targets through KPI management.
• Maintain up‑to‑date product expertise on manufacturers’ equipment.
• Prepare customer activity reports and rolling sales forecasts.
• Collaborate closely with operations to support decisive actions and team decisions.

Required profile

• University degree in Sales, Marketing, Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 15‑20 years of experience in heavy‑equipment sales to mining and construction clients.
• Proven experience working in Africa for international companies.
• Strong understanding of finance principles, financing solutions and Incoterms.
• Demonstrated leadership and team‑management capabilities.
• Fluent English; French is a plus.
