Sales Representative – North Western & Copperbelt, Zambia

About the role

Yara Fertilizer Zambia Limited is seeking a Sales Representative to promote and sell plant‑nutrition products to small‑holder farmers, cooperatives and agro‑dealers across the North Western Province and Copperbelt region. The role involves building strong stakeholder relationships, achieving sales targets and supporting the agronomy and commercial sales team.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and sell Yara’s fertilizer and crop‑nutrition products to distributors, agro‑dealers, cooperatives and small‑holder farmers.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers and channel partners to meet sales targets set by the Agronomy & Commercial Sales Manager.
• Coordinate field activities, events and market research to identify opportunities.
• Process orders, manage stock control and ensure accurate reporting and record‑keeping.
• Apply health, safety, quality and environmental standards in all activities.

Required profile

• Degree in General Agriculture.
• Membership of the Agricultural Institute of Zambia.
• Minimum two years of successful experience in a similar sales or marketing role.
• Ability to travel extensively across the assigned regions.
• Self‑motivated, disciplined and able to manage time independently.
• Fluent written and spoken English; knowledge of Nyanja, Bemba, Lenje or Tonga is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SAP processes.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Computer literacy and ability to generate reports.
