Senior Buyer – MRO Procurement Officer

About the role

Twyford International (Zambia) is seeking a proactive and results‑driven Procurement Officer – MRO Sourcing Specialist to join its Procurement Team. The role focuses on sourcing maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) spare parts, ensuring efficient and cost‑effective procurement that supports continuous manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure timely delivery of all procured MRO materials and services in line with operational requirements.
• Monitor and follow up on supplier quality issues, driving corrective actions to improve delivery efficiency and product quality.
• Develop, assess, and manage supplier resources based on cost, quality, delivery performance and reliability.
• Coordinate closely with internal departments such as maintenance, operations and finance to align procurement activities with business needs.
• Track purchase orders and proactively resolve delays, shortages or discrepancies.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function, particularly in MRO sourcing and supplier performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in procurement, preferably in MRO (spare parts) sourcing.
• Strong communication and coordination skills with the ability to work effectively across teams and with external suppliers.
• High level of responsibility, accountability and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
