Chief Finance Officer

About the role

The Directorate of ZCCM-IH seeks a senior finance leader to provide strategic oversight of all financial activities. The Chief Finance Officer will shape the company’s financial direction, ensure compliance, and support decision‑making to maximise performance and sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the company’s financial strategy, aligning it with overall corporate objectives.
• Interpret financial data, conduct analysis and present strategic recommendations to the executive team and Board.
• Define policies and guidelines for financial reporting and control, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee statutory, internal and management audit processes, addressing any non‑compliances.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports and presentations for senior management, the Board and external stakeholders.
• Advise on long‑term fiscal planning, cash flow, liquidity and financial resource management.
• Manage and optimise the capital structure, including debt and equity financing, to support growth and stability.
• Lead the finance team, mentor members, resolve conflicts and promote a professional, ethical work environment.
• Assess and optimise performance metrics such as revenue, profitability, liquidity and credit collections.
• Represent the company in stakeholder meetings, networking events and strategic investment discussions.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in senior financial leadership roles.
• Proven ability to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with corporate goals.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, audit processes and regulatory compliance.
• Demonstrated expertise in cash management, capital structure optimisation and risk management.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting analyses and recommendations to executive and board audiences.
