Head of Credit – PPB

About the role

The Head of Credit – PPB leads the credit evaluation function, ensuring efficient processes, strong collaboration between business and credit teams, and rigorous risk controls across the portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain an efficient credit evaluation process that supports teamwork between Business and Credit.
• Coach Credit Evaluation Managers on origination, communication, and adherence to delegated authorities.
• Assess applications, issue sanction letters, and ensure compliance with policies for high‑risk industries and Politically Exposed Persons.
• Monitor and enforce TAT targets, SLA compliance, and delegated authority limits.
• Drive automation initiatives, digital lending, and enhanced data utilization.
• Oversee collateral validation, legal documentation, and post‑grant risk controls.
• Manage credit control events and defaults to minimise non‑performing loans.
• Track portfolio performance, credit losses, and asset growth against budget.

Required profile

• Proven experience in credit evaluation, risk management, and portfolio oversight.
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of coaching senior credit managers.
• Ability to implement and monitor credit policies, SLAs, and risk appetite metrics.
• Experience in scaling automated credit processes and digital lending solutions.
