Lecturer Positions in Health Policy, Biostatistics & Internal Medicine

About the role

Mulungushi University is seeking qualified academics to join its School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Three lecturer positions are open: Health Policy and Management, Medical Statistics/Biostatistics, and Internal Medicine. Successful candidates will contribute to teaching, assessment, research, publication and community service.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in the assigned discipline.
• Develop and update course curricula and teaching materials.
• Assess student performance through examinations, assignments and practical work.
• Supervise student research projects and theses.
• Conduct original research, publish findings in peer‑reviewed journals, and present at conferences.
• Participate in departmental and university committees and engage in community outreach activities.

Required profile

• Full Grade 12 certificate with at least five credits.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant health science discipline (Public Health, Medicine, etc.).
• Master’s degree in the specific field (Health Policy & Management, Medical Statistics/Biostatistics, or Internal Medicine).
• PhD in the relevant discipline is an advantage.
• Valid practising licence from the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ).
• Minimum two years of university‑level teaching experience (preferred).
• Evidence of research activity and publications (preferred).
• Functional computer literacy.
