Sales Associate – B2B Direct Sales, Lusaka

About the role

A full-time Sales Associate position in Lusaka, Zambia, focused on direct B2B sales. You will find and sign new commercial customers such as restaurants, hotels, lodges, schools, colleges and hospitals, and work closely with clients to grow volumes and win referrals.

Key responsibilities

• Persist in direct sales, finding and signing new commercial customers.
• Research the market, build a target list of prospects and make daily calls to schedule appointments and site visits.
• Assess customers' energy needs, recommend the right solution, prepare quotations from the approved price list and open new accounts.
• Provide superior customer service, answer client questions promptly and keep in regular contact.
• Meet sales targets and set up booths at trade shows and events to demonstrate the use and safety of the products.
• Monitor competitors' prices and activities, and keep up to date with product knowledge.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare daily and weekly sales reports.

Required profile

• Grade 12 school certificate; a certificate or diploma in sales, marketing or business studies is an advantage.
• At least one year in B2B field sales, telesales or account management; selling to hotels, restaurants or schools is a strong advantage.
• Good knowledge of Lusaka; fluent English plus Nyanja or Bemba.
• Valid driving licence is an advantage.
