Sales Personnel

About the role

A sales position is open in Lusaka, Zambia. The role focuses on identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and clients, turning enquiries into sales while maintaining strong relationships with existing customers.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities and potential clients, generate leads and follow up on enquiries to convert them into sales.
• Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Follow up with clients on enquiries, sales opportunities and pending business.
• Assist with marketing, promotional and business development activities.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records, customer information and reports.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products and services.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify new opportunities and market trends.
• Attend client meetings, site visits and business development activities as required.
• Work consistently towards achieving assigned sales and business development targets.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Public Relations, Sales or a related field.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in sales, marketing, customer service, business development or a related role.
• Valid driver's license, preferably with 5 years of driving experience.
• Member of the Zambia Institute of Marketing (ZIM).

Required skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Good organizational, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal supervision and to meet targets and deadlines under pressure.
