Senior Associate - Assurance

About the role

PwC Zambia is hiring a Senior Associate for its Assurance line of service in Lusaka. The role involves building strong client relationships, leading engagement teams and contributing to the delivery of quality assurance services. PwC's Assurance professionals assess financial statements, internal controls and other assurable information, and check compliance with regulations including governance and risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead audit engagements and supervise engagement team members.
• Deliver high-quality, decision-ready work with key issues resolved and minimal rework.
• Review work performed by Associates and give coaching and feedback.
• Build and maintain effective client relationships.
• Manage engagement budgets and timelines.
• Ensure compliance with PwC methodology, quality standards and independence requirements.
• Contribute to business development and Go-to-Market initiatives.
• Uphold professional and technical standards, the Firm's code of conduct and independence requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
• Relevant professional qualification (ZICA, ACCA, CA Zambia or CIMA).
• At least 3 to 5 years of experience in Assurance, within a professional services firm or a fast-paced external audit field.
• Ability to build trusted relationships, leverage technology and innovation, lead self and others, and exercise sound commercial judgement.
• Government clearance required; work visa sponsorship is not available.
