Technical Services Manager

About the role

The Technical Services Manager provides strategic leadership for the engineering domain within a brewery, ensuring equipment and system integrity while driving compliance with standards and legislation. This senior position oversees the full lifecycle of plant assets, from budgeting and risk management to people development and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the engineering function and define strategic initiatives for the brewery.
• Manage the plant asset care budget, CAPEX and ZBB maintenance budgeting processes.
• Establish and grow a capacitive engineering capability.
• Plan and execute engineering projects, ensuring conformance to specifications and standards.
• Oversee the F&E function, site maintenance, engineering stores and procurement.
• Drive risk management, occupational health & safety and legal compliance.
• Facilitate team problem‑solving, set engineering goals and conduct regular performance reviews.
• Maintain a safe, healthy and risk‑free working environment.
• Control departmental costs, monitor financial results and manage small site projects.
• Implement maintenance strategies (VPO, GOP), failure analysis and spares strategies.
• Maintain instrumentation calibration, change control and engineering standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading engineering or technical services in an industrial setting, preferably a brewery.
• Strong background in asset management, budgeting and risk management.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and coach multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Solid understanding of corporate governance, legal standards and health & safety regulations.
