Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Specialist

About the role

The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Specialist will support the organization’s strategic financial objectives by delivering data‑driven insights, building robust financial models, and automating reporting processes. This role combines analytical expertise with process improvement to enhance budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring across programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare data‑based projections, sensitivity analyses, and evidence‑based recommendations aligned with the organization’s mission and strategic goals.
• Develop and maintain financial analysis packs, dashboards, and variance reports for senior management, translating complex data into clear insights.
• Analyze cost drivers, unit economics, and operational efficiency for programme interventions.
• Lead change‑management initiatives to adopt new processes or systems, including ERP integration.
• Design and oversee multi‑year budgets, activity‑based and grant‑specific budgets, ensuring alignment with donor requirements and strategic priorities.
• Validate and consolidate budgets, upload them into ERP systems, and track expenditures against budgeted amounts.
• Identify opportunities for resource reallocation to optimize impact while maintaining service delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in financial planning, business analysis, or similar roles.
• Proven track record in process automation and leveraging AI models to reduce manual work.
• Strong project‑management and process‑improvement capabilities.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Sage, SAP or Oracle.
• High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to influence cross‑functional decision‑making.
